Begin with an existing product family.
Export the complete set of variants for the included product handles. Preserve the handle, SKU and option columns. Specstead repairs selected existing fields; it does not build a new store catalog from arbitrary supplier PDFs or generate new product identities.
- Keep the existing product title and every variant row.
- Include the existing supported column you want to correct.
- Use up to 25 distinct SKUs, five source files and 30 combined source pages.
A readable PDF still needs an item match.
A fictional sheet headed “Nova collection” may contain several sizes. A width beside NOV-24 does not support a change to NOV-30. The exact item identifier and its supporting passage must remain linked in the review.
Use a text-based PDF, CSV, XLSX or TXT source. Scanned or image-only PDFs need a readable text source before this service can use them. Specstead does not fetch supplier websites or authenticate uploaded documents.
Review before deciding to buy.
The free CSV preflight checks the supplied structure. Source analysis then proposes supported changes, shows conflicting alternatives and holds unsupported claims. A complete import-ready result is not promised by a successful preflight.
The one-time $299 export contains the accepted repair, review ledger and evidence. You control the import and should compare the full repaired snapshot against a fresh export to avoid restoring stale commerce values. If the job needs ongoing synchronization or unsupported fields, choose another workflow.
Inspect an example, then check your own family.
Download the fictional catalogs, exact-item records and expected reviews. The preliminary fit checker helps separate a supported repair from a task that needs another workflow.
The free preflight checks whether your CSV fits Specstead’s supported scope. It does not change your file or store. Source-backed proposals and customer decisions follow in a private workspace.
Sources and method.
Examples on this page are invented to explain review decisions. They are not customer results or measured platform tests. Guidance checked 2026-10-11; Specstead’s implemented scope is described in the file guide.
