Specstead processes your product files to compare, review, and export the repair you request.

What you provide

We store your project name, submitted catalog, extracted supplier-source text, proposed changes, decisions, repair package, recheck results, and the dates needed to operate your workspace. Submit product information you are authorized to use. Do not include customer records, passwords, payment-card numbers, or unrelated personal information in your files.

How the service uses it

Your submitted material is used to check eligibility, compare the supported product fields, show evidence, create your approved export, and compare a fresh export after import. We use AI-assisted processing for source interpretation. Relevant product and source text is sent to OpenAI through its API; requests set storage to false. The provider may process information under its own API data policies.

Our hosting and database providers process the information required to run this service. Stripe processes checkout and payment information. We receive order identifiers and payment status; this application does not store your full payment-card number.

Your private workspace

Access uses a private link and recovery code rather than a password. Anyone who has either can access the project. The access token stays in the URL fragment and authenticated request headers, rather than a public page address or search index. The browser stores the token in session storage to return you from checkout. Save your access file privately and do not put it in public posts, analytics links, or support screenshots.

Private workspace pages are marked to discourage search indexing. We do not intentionally publish your uploads, sell your project information, or use private workspace contents for advertising. The private application does not include advertising analytics.

Retention and deletion

Your workspace shows its access-expiration date. An unpaid project expires three days after creation. A paid project is available for 30 days after its first confirmed payment. Expired workspaces become inaccessible at expiry and are removed by scheduled cleanup; removal is not necessarily immediate. Save your purchased files before access expires. Payment providers may retain transaction records according to their own requirements.

You can request deletion of a project by contacting support. Include the project name and, if available, its workspace ID; do not email the private access token or recovery code. We may need to verify that you control the project before deleting it. Transaction records may need to be retained separately.

Service protection

We retain operational information needed to limit abuse, diagnose failures, and reconcile payments. Request limits use a hashed identifier derived from the connection address. We aim to keep private tokens and uploaded source text out of application logs.
